Breaking Ground (BG) is a platform for European student filmmakers. Their goal is to give new talent the chance to present themselves and their work to the public and the film industry. As a platform, BG connects European students by organising a two-monthly platform for Dutch and Flemish (and occasional foreign) film students to present themselves and their work and to meet with others to start future collaborations. BG also 'infiltrate' other festivals and organisations that don't have a program of student films, with the best European student works, interesting workshops, a complete campus or creative guerrilla actions. BG pops up at various places like the Dutch Film Festival, Go Short International Film Festival Nijmegen, Cinestud and Holland Doc.
