After two years of empty halls and two online editions, we can finally meet again this year. Friday, April 8, is dedicated to the film industry at Go Short. On the industry days we offer guests a jam-packed program with surprising key-notes, critical panel discussions, workshops to sharpen your skills and numerous roundtables in small settings. Come out of your bubble for new perspectives and unexpected insights! During the program we will be treading new paths and broaching topics you might have shied away from before. Professionals and filmmakers will share their knowledge and expertise and discuss contemporary, topical issues within the film world. We will also create enough opportunities for networking during speed dating sessions and the closing drink.

Let’s talk about Mental health

The pandemic has affected us all; if not physically, then mentally. Psychologists are fully booked and making an appointment for a specialist therapy session is often quite impossible. That’s why Go Short’s industry days are focused on mental health. The morning program consists of a joint session focused on mental and financial health in the film industry: how do you stay financially and mentally healthy and build a sustainable film practice? What can doubt or failure give you? And how can you leverage this to keep you making, producing and distributing healthy films for a lifetime?

Outside the Bubble

The afternoon program consists of parallel workshops, panels and other sessions for smaller groups. Get to know new business models during a talk on filmmaking and new technologies such as NFTs, DAO and Web3. Or learn more about filming sex scenes during the workshop Sex on set: don’t screw it up! We also offer several roundtable sessions. Join us, walk new paths together and get to know other perspectives.

As always, we’ll close with drinks in our pavilion. Catch up with fellow filmmakers or meet as many new people as you can. Discuss what you heard at the sessions this day or plan your next film together. Whatever you do: the closing industry day drinks are the perfect place for it. Cheers!
