After Anne Schoemaker completed her Fine Arts Bachelor at ArtEZ in Arnhem, she decided to make her long-cherished dream come true: being a film director. This way, she ended up in Ghent, where she is currently studying Film. In addition to her practice as an artist, she has been active for some time as a program maker and coordinator of events. In the past, she has been part of ‘Asian Movie Night’, collective organizing film screenings at various locations in the Netherlands. In 2020 she started ‘HIBERNATION’ together with two friends and fellow artists. They organize residencies, and reading groups and create performances.
Silent Walk on Saturday, April 6th
Immediately following the film block curated by Anne Schoemaker, she will take you on a journey of discovery through Nijmegen. In a pleasant, tranquil walk, you will pause at sensorially interesting places. What do you smell? Do you hear the wind? By asking targeted questions and using principles of mindfulness, you will get to know Nijmegen in a new way. After a maximum of one hour, you will be back exactly where you started, fully recharged to see even more beautiful short films. The starting point of the walk is the Mariënburgkapel. A maximum of 40 participants can join. Information on how to participate will follow soon.
