About the workshop
The workshop storytelling for short video content gives you the basics to start making your own videos on platforms like Tiktok, Instagram or YouTube Shorts. Mert learns you all about how you get your story across and how you start filming and editting. How do you know if your idea is any good? How do you keep watchers entertained and focussed? And how do you make sure that you receive enough views to make a profit out of your content? At the end of the day, you’ll have answers to all of these questions and you can start making your own content.

About the teacher
Mert Ugurdiken is part of the first generation of Dutch YouTubers. Since 2010, he makes comedy sketches on YouTube channel Mertabi (well over 500.000 subscribers) where his characters Mo and Mahmut steal the show. His most well-known series Marokkaan Geeft Rijles has millions of views and in the last years, Mert has specialized in many different professions in filmmaking, such as actor, director, writer and editor. Rest assured, he can tell you everything there is to know about storytelling.
