Ammodo Foundation launches Ammodo Docs – Seven films premiere at Go Short
The Ammodo Foundation is launching Ammodo Docs, a new series of short documentaries about the work of leading scientists and artists. Season one will premiere on Go Short. On Friday 7 April, there will be a premiere in the presence of the makers and the main characters for invited guests. A second, public screening with Q&A will take place on Sunday 9 April.
Season one consists of seven films about opera director and composer Michel van der Aa, choreographer and theater maker Nicole Beutler, neuroscientist Eveline Crone, neuroscientist Jeroen Geurts, mountain hydrologist Walter Immerzeel, evolutionary biologist Toby Kiers and visual artist Aimée Zito Lema.
From now on, Ammodo Docs will release a new season of approximately six short films every year. The artists and scientists are linked to Dutch documentary makers – established names and proven talent – who portray their subjects in a surprising and in-depth way. Season one was directed by Carin Goeijers, Floris-Jan van Luyn, Hester Overmars, Suzanne Raes, Renko Douze, Marleine van der Werf and Sjors Swierstra.
