The 11th edition of the Nijmeegse Kunstnacht (translation: Night of Arts in Nijmegen) takes place at 17 september 2022.

Discover what Nijmegen has to offer when it comes to cultural events and art in one night. More than 25 locations all over town will display unexpected gigs, surprising art installations and unique crossovers between music, dance, visual arts, film, theater, multimedia, science, literature and poetry.

Of course, Go Short can’t stay absent. Together with Extrapool, we’re working on a very special program. So don’t miss out and buy your ticket in advance at www.kunstnacht.nl.

The Kunstnacht will be revitalized this year by organizers ACBN Evenementenbureau (the organization behind the world renowned Four Days March) and foundation Hubert. They’ll take the Kunstnacht to a higher level.

So what’s new? Shows and gigs will be showcased all over town and dissected by different art routes. The Kunstnacht centers around a free festival, namely The Crossroad. This is the place where all these different art routes come together. This brings the cooperation of the festival in the picture and motivates the audience to try every single road they may not have taken otherwise.

What stays is the concept of local artists and cultural organizations finding eachother and programming gigs together. This year, more than 40 organizations will participate. There are a lot of newcomers to the party, such as Introdans from Arnhem, Popronde and vinyl listening bar Paak, who will program together with Hiphop Mansion and Music Meeting. “This cooperation is a powerful formula which delivers exciting programming and adds an incredible amount of value to the cooperation between cultural organizations and foundations in all of Nijmegen,” says Jop Teeuwissen, head of the board of the newly founded Foundation Kunstnacht.
