Read the highlights of 5 April!
Friday the weekend kicked off with a variety of great programs! The awards for Best International Music Video and Best Dutch Music Video were presented in our brand new competition, you could see classics on 35 mm and our main guest Jacqueline Lentzou gave an interview about her own shorts. Music Video competition
Music video’s on a big screen with the best sounds, that’s what you could experience yesterday! Also the awards for Best International Music Video en Best Dutch Music Video were presented! The clip ‘Pynk‘, directed by Emma Westenberg, won the Best Dutch Music Video Award and ‘Queens‘, directed by Jonathan and Guillaume Alric, won the Best International Music Video Award.
Our main guest Jacqueline Lentzou got a carte blanche for ‘Jacqueline’s Choice’. She picked out classics made between 1966 and 1973 and we screened it on 35 mm! You could see her own shorts in ‘Jacqueline’s Shorts + Interview’. In her shorts intimacy and loneliness are worked out in a beautiful way! After the screening she gave an interview.
Also the industry day took place on Friday. Hundreds of professionals and filmmakers and a variety of workshops, pitch sessions and talks!
We had full houses for our competition programs! Among others the Dutch competition program ‘NL.1 Where’s Your Head At?’ and the student competition program ‘ST.4 See Me, Feel Me’ were completely sold out! Make sure you get your tickets quickly.
