About Go Short Online
What is Go Short Online?
Go Short Online is an on-demand short film festival, which takes place from April 15 to May 13, 2020. This online film festival is a necessary alternative, because the 12th edition of the festival had to be canceled due to the corona crisis. With Go Short Online we honor the film selection and curation of 2020, our talent platform and hub to international prizes EFA, Oscar and BAFTA, and present you with the best Go Short 2020 has to offer!
What about the development of this platform?
This is the first version of the new platform. Behind the scenes, we are working hard on new updates for improvements in ease of use. We will also be offering in-depth programs shortly and we are working on an even larger selection of films.
Statement cancellation Go Short 2020
On March 13 2020 we have made the difficult, inevitable decision to cancel the 12th edition of Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen, scheduled for 1-5 April.
On March 12 2020, the Dutch government announced new measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, which included a ban for all events exceeding 100 people until 31 March.
In order to proceed safely and responsibly, we couldn’t wait for new developments; we must act now. The health of our community is our first priority. We don’t consider it safe for our audiences, partners and employees to organise a public event in this global state of emergency.
