Call for Curators Go Short 2025
Go Short is looking for new storytellers!
If you want to tell an urgent story through film programming, and especially when you consider your point of view underrepresented or your story untold, Go Short is looking for you. Go Short is creating space within their curatorial team for external experts and talents. Every year, the festival chooses a few current issues, and delves into different aspects of these matters through several film (oriented) programs.
The film programs will be — possibly accompanied by context programming — presented physically at the festival in April.
With this call Go Short wants to offer a new space for curatorial talent. Go Short wants to open up a part of their programming for talented curators from outside the existing festival structures, aiming for a more diverse team of curators. We are looking for someone that can contextualize a subject with films and/or other audiovisual media, but also with a good motivation. Less experience with programming short film? No problem, the programming team of Go Short can offer assistance. Ultimately you’ll develop a film program (for cinema or other spaces) gather additional context and present the program to the audience.
Go Short offers a curatorial fee, accommodates your stay at the festival, and will assist in covering the traveling costs. Go Short will take care of the film rights, screening fees and production of the screenings.
Deadline: 2nd of October
