The selection for the European competition consists of 41 films made by makers from all over Europe. The highly rated films are eligible for Best European Short in the fiction, documentary and animation categories.
The films of the European Competition are divided into a number of film blocks and will be shown at Go Short 2023. The winners in the fiction, documentary and animation categories will qualify for the Oscars.
