The official Call for Entry for Go Short 2019 is now open!

The 11th edition of Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen takes place from 3 to 7 April 2019.

Submission is done easy through our Filmchief portal. Our entry fee is €9.50 (incl. VAT) per entry. For VR films and music videos the entry fee is €7,00 (incl. VAT)

All genres are welcome, as long as the film is produced in a European country ans has a maximum length of 30 minutes. Full regulations can be found here for  film, VR en music video competitions.

Deadlines film competitions:
1 September 2018: films completed between 1 December 2017 and 1 June 2018
23 November 2018: films completed on or after 1 June 2018
21 December 2018: films completed in November or December 2018

Deadlines VR competition:
7 December 2018: films completed after 1 December 2017 

Deadlines music video competition:
7 December 2018: films completed after 1 September 2017

European Competition
The European Competition will consist of shorts in all genres that have been made in (geographical) Europe. The films are eligible for the Go Short Award for Best European Short in the four different categories. The awarded Animation, Fiction and Documentary films also receive an Academy Award Qualifier.

Dutch Competition
The Dutch Competition is a selection of films made in the Netherlands, from which the best film will be awarded with the Go Short Award for Best Dutch Short as well as an Academy Award Qualifier if it is an Animation, Fiction or Documentary film.

Student Competition
The Student Competition will consist of short films in all genres made in European film schools. The best film will be awarded with an Encouragement Award.

Youth Competition and Audience Awards
All films will compete for the Go Short Audience Award and a selection of films will join The Youth Competition. The best film out of this competition wins the Go Short Youth Award.

VR competition
The best international VR films will battle with each other in the VR Competition. There are no restrictions to the categories, as long as they are linear 360-degree VR films. The winning film will take home the Go Short Award for the Best VR Film.

 

Music video competition
The Music Video Competition shows a selection of the best music videos of the past year. Two winners will be announced within this competition: the best Dutch and the best international music video will both win a Go Short Award.
