Go Short is an annual film festival for European short films. The second edition of this refreshing new festival took place in 2010. It is a unique event in The Netherlands where the audience can indulge itself with a great variety of short films. Go Short strives to be a showcase and meeting place for talented filmmakers from all over Europe. The festival's main location is the multifunctional arthouse LUX in the city of Nijmegen.
Central to the program is the European competition for best short film in four categories: fiction, documentary, animation and experimental. There is also a competition for best Dutch short film and European student competition, Breaking Shorts, programmed by the European film students platform Breaking Ground. Go Short also houses an international campus for film students and organizes parties, debates, lectures and a school program.
