The Chicken wins European Film Award Zondag 14 december 2014 The Chicken wins European Film Award Saturday night the European Film Awards were handed out in Riga (Latvia). It was the 27th edition of the European equivalent of the Oscars. Una Gunjak received the award in the category of European Short Film for 'The Chicken'. When she realises the animal is going to be killed to feed the family, she decides to save it and set it free The European Film Awards Shipwreck (Morgan Knibbe) Emergency Calls (Pohjankonna Oy), The Missing Scarf (Eoin Duffy), Whale Valley (Guðmundur Arnar Guðmundsson) and Pride (Pavel Vesnakov), which won us the award for best short fiction film. Camouflage selected for Euro Connection Woensdag 10 december 2014 Camouflage selected for Euro Connection Animation studio Mooves and director Remco Polman will be looking for coproduction partners for their animated film at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in February. They belong to the group of 15 film proposals which have been approved by the jury of Euro Connection to be part of the largest and most important co-production platform for short films in Europe. Read more
European Short Film Day in 15 countries Dinsdag 9 december 2014 European Short Film Day in 15 countries For the second year EYE, International Film Festival Rotterdam and Go Short bring the European Short film Day to the Netherlands on 21 December 2014. On the shortest day of the year fifteen European countries put the spotlight on short film. Twenty Dutch cinemas offer a compilation program of six European short films, and for the first time a children's program. The European Short Film Day is an annual event. Read more
