About this film

A time-traveler recounts his vision of the future of the Pyramids area, and by extension Egypt, in the year 2026 - a vision that strains to imagine the future but remains caught up in exhausted reformulations of the present. The film is based on an account of events described in the novel The Revolution of 2053: The Beginning by Mahmoud Uthman (2007) and La Jetee by Chris Marker (1962).
