From April 7 to 12, the seventeenth edition of Go Short will take place. In and around LUX, as well as at various other locations in Nijmegen, you can once again enjoy the best that short film has to offer.

The Windfall

Had a setback? Ask for the Windfall! This is a free ticket for those who need it. Simply head to the LUX desk an hour before a film program and ask for a Windfall. 

CJP/Student/MBO card

A film ticket for €10. This discount is valid upon presentation of your student, MBO, or CJP card.

Cineville pass

Cineville pass holders can watch films for free. Reserve your spot online. It is not possible to book Cineville tickets on the spot at the LUX box office.

VR = free!

The VR films are free to visit for everyone! Reserve your spot online or at the LUX desk.

Radboud Reflects

faq

How long (or short) are short films?

Short films last a maximum of 30 minutes.

How are the film programs structured?

An average of 3-6 short films are shown in a film program. Together, they explore different aspects of a single overarching theme. The film blocks typically last about 1.5 hours.

Are there breaks in the film programs?

No, the film programs are without a break.

Are the films subtitled?

Most films have English subtitles, except for the english spoken films. The Comedy Shorts and Oscar Shorts have Dutch subtitles. For specific information about each program, please refer to the program description.

Are there special screenings or programs aimed at children?

Definitely. For the youngest (2+), we have Go Short x LUX Mini. We also offer film programs for ages 5+ and 9+.

Are there food and drink facilities available at the festival location?

Yes! Both inside and around LUX, you can enjoy drinks and delicious food.

Is the festival accessible for people with physical disabilities?

LUX is wheelchair accessible, and all rooms (except room 7) can be reached by wheelchair users. However, special wheelchair spaces need to be arranged in advance. Therefore, we ask you to contact LUX beforehand so we can make the necessary arrangements.
