Unique films at
unique locations

Go Short pops up in unexpected places all year round: from a rooftop over the city to a shopping street transformed into an open-air cinema. Our mobile projectors, inflatable screens, and lighting systems transform any location into a cinema. This way, we literally bring short stories to the audience.

Do you have an idea for a unique collaborative space? Let us know! We'd love to help you think about the technology, programming, and audience development. Together, we'll show that film can be everywhere and for everyone.

Camping Kino

Go Short is the largest and most welcoming short film festival in the Netherlands. Every year, we let around 25,000 people enjoy short films. We do this through our festivals in Nijmegen and Arnhem, but also by taking our programme on the road.

Our mobile short film cinema can set up anywhere. The eye-catcher is a retro Eriba caravan, staffed by our heroes in tracksuits. Inside, you’ll find a mini cinema, and just as easily we can build an outdoor cinema with laid-back beach chairs. Depending on the available space, we expand Camping Kino with additional camping concepts, such as small tents in which films can be watched.

Go Short’s film programmes are tailored to your festival, event, or location: from themes like dance to erotica, and from freedom to gender—anything is possible. Whatever audience you attract, everyone will feel at home at Camping Kino.

We believe in the power of long-term relationships. That’s why we prefer to enter into multi-year collaborations. This way, we create a lasting impact together.

Off The Walls

During Off The Walls, short films are not shown on a screen, but outdoors in the open air. Over the years Go Short has been organizing unique film walks in which short films are projected onto walls, buildings, and objects in public spaces. The films are framed by stories from those involved, the surroundings, or an overarching theme. Recent editions have taken place in, Bemmel, Ewijk, and Nijmegen.

Participation is free, but registration is required.

The Day of the Short Film

On the shortest day of the year, December 21, we celebrate the Day of the Short Film. With a specially curated film program, audiences in Dutch cinemas are treated to the best short films from our own country.

The short film is exciting, versatile, and offers something for everyone. It is also the place where young filmmaking talent first emerges. Yet short films often get little time on the big screen. To give more attention to short films in Europe, we have been celebrating the Day of the Short Film for several years now, on the shortest day of the year, December 21, both in the Netherlands and in various European countries.
