Knowledge Day on Film Education by Filmhub Oost
On Wednesday 8 April, Filmhub Oost and Go Short jointly organise a knowledge-sharing day. During this event, Filmhub Oost presents the latest insights, inspiring practical examples and concrete tools for sustainably embedding film education in schools. This edition focuses on heritage education and reading promotion. How can film education be connected to stories from the past? And how can film help increase children’s and young people’s enjoyment of reading?
Through regional case studies, including projects by Cultura Ede and Tetem Enschede, and a contribution by film educator Inge Theunissen (Filmvoer), you will discover how film can support heritage education and stimulate reading engagement. You will also take part in Wicked Film Assignments: short, playful film tasks that can be used directly in the classroom.
The afternoon concludes with a networking drink, offering space to connect and exchange knowledge and ideas. The knowledge day is part of Go Short 2026 and takes place at LUX Nijmegen. You are welcome to visit the festival before or after the event.
