Do you have an idea for a film program that needs to be seen? Go Short is looking for you! Whether it’s a response to urgent social issues, a focus on a specific genre, or a celebration of a certain type of cinema: we’d love to hear from you, especially when you consider your point of view underrepresented or your story untold.
Each year, Go Short opens up space within its curatorial team for external talents and experts. With this call, we want to create opportunities for new curatorial voices to bring their vision to the festival, and to share different ways of looking at cinema. We are in particular looking for programs that could be an addition to our thematical programs around social-political themes, programs about specific ways of filmmaking and genre-themed programs for our Late Night slots (think about Anime, Sci-fi, b-films, etc); but we’re open to all ideas!
Selected programs will be presented at the festival in April, possibly accompanied by additional context programming. We invite proposals that can frame a subject or approach through film and/or other audiovisual media, and that come with a clear motivation. Whether you’re an experienced curator or someone with strong ideas but little programming background, we’d love to hear from you — our programming team can provide support along the way. Together, we’ll shape your film program (for cinema or other festival spaces), add meaningful context, and present it to our audience.
