This film meditates on the parallels between agri-industrial patterns in the soil and the racialized identities constructed by a neo-colonial, capitalist, and patriarchal system. How can we move beyond the familiar when, as academic renegade Bayo Akomolafe suggests, familiarity itself is a form of "micro-fascism," keeping us trapped in what we know, even as we dream our most 'desirous dreams'?"
