Congratulations! Your film has been selected for a film festival, and maybe even got nominated or awarded. And now what? Alongside the excitement, this moment often brings a wave of new expectations; about your next project, your career trajectory, and the professional steps you’re “supposed” to take.

This panel discussion offers a chance to slow down and reflect on what happens after success. Together with our speakers, we explore how to navigate the festival landscape, manage external pressures, and stay connected to your own creative values. We look at how to define your worth, making choices that serve your long-term practice, and moving forward in a way that feels grounded rather than overwhelming.

Speakers:

  • Robert-Jonnathan Koeyers (Filmmaker)
  • Rosan Boersma (Cinemind)

Moderator: Mackenzie Fincham

About the speakers

Robert-Jonathan Koeyers (Curaçao, 1992) is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker. After receiving a Wildcard from the Nederlands Filmfonds for his graduation film, he began writing and directing his animated debut short film It’s Nice in Here, which had its world premiere in 2022 at the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes and was shortlisted for an Academy Award.

Throughout the years Robert-Jonathan has been using film, photography, animation, music, and other mediums to help turn his stories into deeply personal projects that aim to unpack his cultural identity, his family ties, and his lived experiences in authentic, vulnerable, and often fragmented ways.

Rosan Boersma is co-founder of CINEMIND, which she founded in 2024 together with Anna de Beus to strengthen mental wellbeing and social sustainability in the film industry. She works as a coach and confidential advisor within the film and television sector, bringing first-hand experience from her background as a freelance producer, and a deep understanding of the creative, organizational, and emotional demands of the industry.

Alongside her work at CINEMIND, Rosan teaches Personal Development and Communication at the Netherlands Film Academy, supporting emerging filmmakers in their professional and personal growth. She focuses on fostering awareness, resilience, and healthier ways of working within the creative sector.
