Inside Outside Around is a live audiovisual performance by Luis Macias that uses multiple 16mm and slide projectors to create "holographic" cinema in real time. Through an apparatus installed throughout the Mariënburgkapel, and the manipulation of light and overlapping forest imagery unfolding at varying intervals, this encompassing act invites the audience to engage with the unknown and the astonishing path toward the forest. Experiencing cinema as something constructed in the moment, through a physical process of making along enveloping sound, this work proposes a space for imagining a fundamental ecological change. Entrance is free on a first-come, first-served basis. No ticket or reservation required.
